Criteria for 2019  Honors English Language Arts and 

Reading 
 

In order to be admitted into the 8^th Grade Honors’ ELA class for 2018-2019, students must meet ALL of the following criteria:

1. Teacher recommendations
2. Seventh-grade ELA honors’ students must have an 80% average for the current year. A student from a regular ELA class must have a 90% average for the current year. 
3. Complete and turn in the Summer Reading Project on Meet the Teacher Night.  TBA this week 

Failure to meet any ONE of these criteria will forfeit eligibility for the class
